Injury from my first marathon took me to an orthopedic specialist who offered this sound advice: "If it hurts, don't run."
Well. It hurts. Same leg. Same spots. Same pain.
And the training was going so well up until now. I'm taking today off, but running tomorrow isn't out of the question.
Yet.

Hey! Be careful. I seem to remember the last time you had such an injury the recovery wasn't a quick process. Take care.
That would be my motto for waking up and going to work everyday...it hurts, so I shouldn't do it. I'm calling in tomorrow.....
I didn't have any injury to blame but I didn't run yesterday either. I'll call it an act of solidarity.
I'm still having trouble with my hip. My husband wants me to see an orthopedist (Sp), but I fear he'll also just tell me not to run. But really, with the pain, I can't anyhow. I might be doing a lot of walking in this marathon. Yuck! Good luck to you and your leg.
remember...
ice is nice.
good idea to take a rest. I ran with some pain and blew out my knee and had to wear this really ugly brace for a long time. i hobbled everywhere.
after that i became a slogger, not a runner. And that's not the best thing to be. not the worst either, but do take care.
I remember you saying before that you take Yoga...are you still? Yoga may help heal injuries..even old ones.
You may not have the time now, but for the future??
