The Gift

I held a little Pity Party for Jodi on Friday, and with the help of some amazing friends who adore her as much as I do, we raised enough money for her to take another week off of work (should she choose) post colon removal, which takes place tomorrow. Of anyone I've ever met, Jodi is TERRIBLE at accepting gifts, so receiving an envelope full of cash was quite difficult for her. She repeated "Oh dear god!" a few times as she opened and then closed the envelope over and over. There was no shortage of tears, and it gave me great joy to be the messenger of such an overwhelming gift. You are loved, Miss Jodi. Don't forget that.
