Ducktail

Speaking of hair . . . we've been having an ongoing debate in our house about what to do about Sam's adorable little ducktail:

He's had it since birth, and it's only getting longer.  And while the rest of his hair thins out, this remains thick and dark.  Some days, Dave wants to cut it and I want to keep it.  Other days, it's the reverse.  We just can't decide.  It seems like such a milestone to have a first haircut, and that makes me want to prolong it.  Plus, if we wait long enough, we might able to braid it.  That would be cool, I suppose.

If you do braid it, that would make him the youngest—and most adorable—hipster ever, so there's that.

Mac and Shef had this, too. It just resolves after awhile. I never cut it - I think the other hair just caught up??

We called it "soul patch."

I think the ducktail should stay. It’s so cute.

I'm saying no to cut and yes to braid.

You could just shave his whole head.

Okay, obviously I don't think you should really do that.

I think it's weird when babies start having patches of their hair falling out.
