Two things of note are going on at the coffee shop right now. First, Tim Pawlenty is sitting just 20 feet from me. He's wearing a full suit and is working away on his iPad. What does a former governor do with his time once his bid for the presidency is over? Maybe I'll get up the nerve to ask.
Second, a man at the table next to me is being interviewed about an acquaintance who is seeking employment at the CIA. I know this because I was once interviewed about a friend who was doing the same. I would say more, but the details are highly confidential. Actually, they're not. She got the job and did our country proud. You're welcome, America.

that's quite a morning! I'd love to meet up with you someday soon at a coffee shop, T-Paw or not. It's been far far too long.
KK -- I was just reading your blog and thinking about how much I miss you! Let's definitely meet up ASAP. Sending you an email now!
I think Puh-lenty probably sends hate mail to Michele Bachmann.
As for the CIA job, thanks for the help with that!
One time I had a T-Paw sighting. We were both working out at the same gym, and I kept hoping that he would ask me to spot him so that I could tell him that I would spot him if he would spend 24 hours thinking about whether he was ready to lift the weight and reading some misleading pamphlets on the dangers of weight-lifting (because at the time, he was pushing the 24-hour waiting period for abortions).
Had he asked me to spot him, I almost certainly would have said yes and then said that it was nice to meet him.
Sounds like you found a pretty happenin' coffee shop!
I have also had a T-Paw sighting. He was running with some security dudes on Summit Ave. I thought he was pretty nice looking, which is basically all he has going for him.
He reminds me a little bit of our basketball coach, Tom Crean.
After a morning like that, you should rename yourself Jessie Bourne.
I think equally of note is that you'd already posted your blog by 9:18 a.m. I can't quite keep up with blogging 1x per month ... and it's usually not by 9:18 a.m.
bdoc -- I know! I felt like I didn't need to do anything for the rest of the day. Except that I had a lot I needed to do for the rest of the day.
