Just some slapdash thoughts that have very little to do with anything and a lot to do with everything.

Milwaukee Brewers
I took a few days off from this blogging challenge to visit with my sisters, Becky and Cassie, and nephew, Greysen. They were here for five whole days, and we had a blast just chillin' together. They all live in Helena, Montana, home of the Helena Brewers, Minor League baseball team for the Milwaukee Brewers. My dad and brother-in-law, Andrew, took Greysen to a Brewers game once, but he was more interested in the mascot than the game. During his time here, Greysen taught Sam how to drive cars, make car sounds, and put cars in their "parking spots" when you have to leave them to eat, bathe, or sleep. For now, they aren't so excited about baseball, but we'll work on it.

I'm sure learning from an older cousin is fun and amazing. Both boys look adorable.
It's nice that Sam has such an able mentor!!
I had to take a few days off, too, for two conference proposals and written prelims. I yearn for the day I can just live without that godawful feeling of needing to read something or write a paper or whatever.
Something about the Helena Brewers and watching on of their games that makes me feel very relaxed.
It's okay. Start 'em young. Also, you need to tape his right arm to his side, so he learns how to throw left-handed. There's always room on an MLP roster for a good left-handed pitcher.
Does he have the little wooden trains yet? I think they are called Brio? You should buy those for him asap.
When the baseball obsession hits you will wish he was still sitting playing with cars instead of throwing balls across the living room. :-)
