St. Louis Cardinals

I just learned about a new blogging challenge (thanks, Pronto!) which requires a post each day of March related to a major league baseball team. At first, I thought this sounded really hard. And then when I tried to write my post, I found out that it IS really hard. But I'm going to do it anyway. Here goes.

Sam and I look at cardinals everyday from the bay window in our family room. He doesn't know how to say cardinal yet, but he does say "tee"when I point them out. I figure that's pretty close. I'm guessing they have cardinals in St. Louis too, but the cardinals we see are right here in St. Paul.

Now if we could only get some Blue Jays or Orioles to land on our feeders this challenge would be a cinch.

Good luck with the Blue Jays and Orioles. I, like Sam, love to watch the grace of Cardinals.

Now I'm curious about which of the other teams represent stuff Sam is into. Does a kid Sam's age know about pirates? I guess probably not.

No - that's perfect! The connection CAN'T BE TOO TENUOUS! Also, you can re-post Dave's post about the Twins for your Twins post, so you're all set there.

Isn't it great that you're in on the blogging challenge? I hope things are going well for JD. I'm missing the folks in the old GA room, but not the building.

We used to have Cardinals in the trees and at our bird feeder at our old house. I'm hoping we get some Cardinals at our new house. Maybe Charlie will have as much fun looking at them as Sam does.

Jim! What a treat to hear from you! Are you in the blogging challenge too? I'll look. Haven't been keeping up with the comments yet. I've been thinking that Sam and Charlie should meet for a play date. It would be a lot of cuteness in one space, but we could handle it. I'll send a message to your lovely wife.

The Cardinal is the Indiana state bird.
