No Photos Please

I don't know how it got to be July already, but here it is. I'm making a renewed effort to enjoy summer while also getting some things done. This past weekend was a pretty good start. I did some needed reading while sitting on a deck overlooking a lake. So, check and check. The weekend took a turn, though, when I got frustrated and said some things I have been regretting since. I need to acquire some patience and grace when it comes to allowing others to bend the boundaries I try to establish for an increasingly independent and brave toddler. If you have any recommendations for chants or breathing exercises to use at these moments, do let me know.

No recommendations there. Just some regrets on my part for doing the same thing. It's hard stuff.

On a happy note, what a cute kid he is. Love that photo. And love that you got some lake time. I'm missing my vacation.

He is a cute kid!!

Also no advice. This kind of thing happens. However, everyone tends to forgive the crazed mother. :)

Yeah, everyone except herself. Then you gotta live with that stuff forever and a day.

Actually it fades from memory after a few years.

Thanks, friends. I am just trying to accept who I am as a mom. Do your best and forget the rest. A wise person once told me that.

WooHOO! Gotta remind myself everyday.

Love getting to follow along as you journey forward.

Quinn leaves soon for college and we won't have any children living in our home. That's when I'm going to start freaking out. FYI.
