I made a calendar to keep me on track as I move toward this January dissertation deadline. In doing so, it occurred to me that I could have been done with this thing already if I had applied myself as much as I'm going to have to apply myself in the weeks to come. But that kind of thinking doesn't help at this point, does it? So, positive thinking and progress from here on out.

What's with the chickens.
January deadline. Okay. We can do this. I'm gearing up.
They have chickens (and ferrets, chinchillas, doves, parrots, a lizard, a cat, and a tarantula) at a GREAT children's bookstore in Minneapolis called The Wild Rumpus. You would love it. Oh, and they have books too. Sam followed the chickens around the whole time.
I am afraid of chickens (all birds, actually), so I don't like that store sadly. I do support it in theory, however.
