Design Dilemmas

We have been in need of a sofa since we moved into this house over a year ago. You might think we've been taking our time to make the right decision. But no. We just started shopping for a couch Friday and now we are frantically trying to pick something out before the holiday deals expire today. So much for thoughtful contemplation. The other problem is that Dave and I have very different design aesthetics. He prefers modern and streamlined while I prefer traditional and child-friendly. I understand that this makes me the less hip of the two, but since I've never been all that hip before, why start now. We have just shy of fifteen hours to come to some compromise. This could require a miracle.

A couch is not an easy thing to buy.

I like the couch I'm sitting on right now, but Husbandman does not.

Good luck! Push through!

...and it has to fit the space (physically and emotionally). I'm sure a compromise is looming.

We have come to enjoy modern and sleek; although we previously liked a more hybrid style of traditional and kidfriendly. I actually think our sectional is kind of a nice hybrid. I hope you can get this done. I believe in you.

We did it! Couch successfully purchased at a great price. We will find out in 10 weeks whether we made a huge mistake or not. Thanks for the support.

Now I am trying to talk Dave out of a chair.
