Did I mention we're having a baby girl? We are. And seventeen weeks away from her arrival, we already have this pile of pink clothing hand-me-downs.
This pink is one of the reasons I freaked out a little over having a girl (although, let's face it, those clothes are adorable). It was a small reason, though, compared with the image of the teenaged girl I kept picturing in my mind. I immediately imagined a make-up wearing, nail-polished tween telling me how much she hates me and slamming doors.
Then I decided to get over that image and to enjoy the decade or so before it happens. Now I'm more chill about having a girl. Except for her name. We have a dozen or so boy names we like but cannot settle on a single girl one. We've ruled out Miley, though. So that's a start.

Congrats!
Casandra Jr. has a nice ring to it.
If you want to name her after me, that would be fine.
My daughter didn't do those things that everyone tells us teen girls will do and I have a feeling your kid won't either.
I remember getting so much pink stuff. Not that into pink but it does help when everyone calls your girl baby "he" when you're out and about because of their very short hairstyles when they're first born.
How about Prontopupella? It's unique! (also, congrats!)
These are all very good suggestions, obviously.
That's awesome! I think I would have liked to have a girl. Why not? After all, we're pretty cool!
Also, I do like Kathleen as a name. It's a good one, and not very many peeps have it.
I've given my two cents for the name... or maybe it was more like 10 cents (100?). Any attitude your girl exhibits will simply be a reflection of the independent, dynamic, and self-confident girl you've raised. And I'll always have a spare room in MT for her, send her to me :)
Okay, time to get blogging again. We've been patient because of the pregnancy, but let's kick it into gear, okay?????
