One of my favorite moments was when a teacher referred to a "recent" adaptation of a film that was produced in 2009.
"2009?" One girl guffawed. "That's not recent."
It's true. If you are eleven, 2009 happened when you were six. Almost half a lifetime ago.
Middle schoolers always put things into just the right perspective.

Middle school is very fun. No one can deny this fact. When kids pull their teeth out and show them to you immediately in the middle of discussion, this is a middle school moment.
I do miss those moments. Thinking about finding my way back to them. Any openings there?
Middle School wasn't for me. I didn't find the sixers super charming. But I have true appreciation and admiration for those who enjoy those peeps, including you and Kace and mm
