Wish I had something more profound to say...

As I sat in our closing circle at diversity camp, I was overwhelmed with pride in the community of remarkable educators with whom I had spent the week. I am emotionally and physically exhausted from the experience, and there are no words I can use to explain it without giving away just how cheesy I am at heart. So instead, I'll just say, I am changed.

And I will also say, for those of you who checked my blog religiously during my absence (particularly the sister who has been working ridiculous hours and has been in need of many breaks), I am back.

I have nothing profound to say back to you either except that when you've thought about it and finally find your voice about your week, I want to hear more about it.

My profundity is limited to my question that no one has yet answered - has anyone tried the banana cream pie blizzard at Dairy Queen? Do tell ....

Like bdoc, i want to hear more about this week too. any good books to read?
as for the profound question, I have not had the banana cream pie blizzard. I conservatively but happily go for the small vanilla cone at DQ, but I love banana cream pie, so please let me know what happens if/when you risk wasting a dq choice on unchartered territory. But maybe a more pressing question is one I've pondered over at my blog...Have you ever microwaved a moonpie?

I told you I would get addicted. It's nice to hear that someone else is overwhelmed and can't figure out a good way to share d. camp with loved ones. I am proud to have been in your circle too. And no, I have not had the banana cream pie blizzard yet, but I am sure after a few more hits on this blog I will be forced to go try it to ease my curiosity. Does someone work for DQ ;)?

lil'z! I am so excited that you have graced my blog with your presence. Yay!

bdoc used to work for DQ, but now she just keeps them in business by frequenting the fine establishment at least once a week. I'm not crazy about banana flavoring, so I don't know about the cream pie blizzard. But if anyone knows what to try at DQ, it's bdoc.

Well, I am so glad that someone finally answered my question about the banana cream pie blizzard but now I'm curious about the key lime pie blizzard - I haven't tried that one.

I didn't intend to belittle your experience by bringing up DQ, but as jdoc indicated, it generally rules my life. Consequently, I would suggest never trying the blizzard - what you don't know, won't hurt you; but what you do know, might ...
