A little help from my friends...

Kyle and I have the same knowledge of electrical wires. One is yellow, one is green, one is blue, and together, they are heavy.

What are the wires for? Kyle is more likely to know than I am. Fortunately, his father is a handy man married to my good friend, Staci. He fixed things while we drank coffee and enjoyed a fall day that looked like this...

When it comes to home ownership, I'm learning that it's not what you can do, but who you know that counts.

Yes Yes Yes, this is so true. When our house was flooded over Christmas break last year and we discovered this upon returning from Iowa at 10:00 at night, Paul and 8-months pregnant Kirsten selflessly came to the rescue, driving from Hopkins and bearing industrial fans, a wet vac and a huge dehumidifier. Had it not been for them...well, I have no idea. We didn't have a clue. The big orange Home Depot "Home Improvement 123" has proved to be mainly good for pressing pretty fall leaves.

I hate to complain, really, I do. And I'm NOT complaining. I'm just saying I'd like it if you'd write a new blog.

Perhaps you can compose when we ROAD TRIP tomorrow.
